Your kitchen was built around it. Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking and Monogram — repaired in place, across the Phoenix metro.

We call you back to set a time, then text when we are on our way.

  • $119 to diagnose — waived with the repair
  • 12 months on parts and labor
  • Open every day
01

What it holds is the point.

Four hours. That is how long a closed refrigerator keeps food safe once it stops. We are open every day, so the clock never has to run through a weekend.

02

Two sealed systems. Nothing shared.

0°F on one side, 38°F on the other, each with its own compressor and its own air. It is why a Sub-Zero can be half warm and half perfect — and why the diagnosis has to be exact. Request a visit.

Masters of cold.

A $15,000 refrigerator is not an appliance. It is a sealed system balanced to a fraction of a degree — and Phoenix summers find every weakness in one.

We repair what others won't open.

Every refrigerator is one closed loop of refrigerant, moving heat out of a box and dumping it into your kitchen. Four components do the work. Follow it around.

HIGH PRESSURE hot gas HIGH PRESSURE warm liquid LOW PRESSURE cold mist LOW PRESSURE cool gas COMPRESSOR CONDENSER EXPANSION EVAPORATOR

The compressor

Takes cool low-pressure gas and squeezes it into hot high-pressure gas. It is the pump that drives the entire loop, and the only part with a motor inside the sealed circuit.

When it goes
  • Running constantly but never reaching temperature
  • Clicking every few minutes — the start relay, not always the compressor
  • Loud humming or a new vibration through the cabinetry
  • On inverter models: error codes rather than obvious noise

Opening this loop is regulated. Under EPA Section 608 only a certified technician may recover and recharge the refrigerant, and a sealed system is recharged by weight rather than by feel. It is worth asking about before anyone reaches for the gauges.

Repair, or replace?

Repair
$119

to know exactly what is wrong — waived the moment you proceed

  • Genuine OEM parts
  • Twelve months on parts and labor
  • The cabinetry around it is never touched
  • Done in your kitchen, usually in a single visit
Replace
$10–20k

for the machine alone, before anyone installs it

  • Built-ins are ordered to size, not pulled off a shelf
  • The surround was built to the old unit's dimensions
  • Panels, trim and filler strips rarely carry over
  • A kitchen trade in the house, not a technician

A built-in is not a box you swap out. It is joined to the room around it, which is why replacing one is a remodel and repairing one is an afternoon. Repair is almost always the right call — and when it genuinely is not, we will say so plainly instead of selling you a repair that will not hold. The decision, in numbers.

Before you let anyone open it.

Five questions worth asking whoever is standing in your kitchen — including us. They take a minute, and they sort the trade out quickly.

  1. 01

Do you specialise, or fix everything?

Someone who works on every brand sees yours a few times a year. A fault they have met once is a fault they will be learning on — at your expense.

  2. 02

Will I have a fixed price before you start?

A diagnosis that ends in "we'll see how it goes" is not a diagnosis. You should know the number before a single panel comes off.

  3. 03

    Are the parts OEM?

Generic control boards and compressors exist for these machines. They fit, they are cheaper, and they are why some units get repaired twice.

  4. 04

Will you show me what failed?

A replaced part you never see is a replacement you have to take on trust. Ask to see it. Anyone confident in the diagnosis will not mind.

  5. 05

Is the warranty on parts, or parts and labor?

Parts-only warranties are common and sound generous. They mean that when the part fails again, you pay for the visit and the hours a second time.

Our answers, in order: four makers and very little else; yes, sent to you before we begin; OEM on every part we supply; yes, in person; and parts and labor, for twelve months on the parts we supply.

Independent, and plain about it.

Not a factory service. Not pretending to be.

Aphelion is an independent company. We are not affiliated with Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking or GE Appliances, and you will not find “authorized” or “factory-certified” anywhere on this site, because neither would be true.

What we offer instead is narrower, and easy to check: four makers of the luxury kitchen, refrigeration first, a price written down before you ever call, twelve months of warranty where ninety days is common — and a visit on a Saturday or a Sunday, because refrigerators do not fail on a schedule.

Four things we will not do.

Promises are easy to make on a website. Refusals are easier to check. These are ours.

  1. 01

Quote a price for a fault we have not seen.

The number comes after the $119 diagnosis, in writing — and it is the number you pay. If the job runs long, that is our cost, not yours.

  2. 02

Put our warranty on a part we did not supply.

Every part we bring is genuine OEM and carries the twelve months. A part you supply yourself we will fit for the labor alone — and if it does not fit, does not work or fails later, that labor is not refunded. We cannot stand behind a part we did not choose.

  3. 03

    Call ourselves authorized, or factory-trained.

We are independent, and we say so on every page. What we know about these machines we show you in your kitchen, not on a badge.

  4. 04

Open a machine the maker should be fixing for free.

Still under the manufacturer’s warranty? We will tell you to call them first, even when it costs us the job. A covered repair should cost you nothing.

The rest of this page is what we will do.

What happens after you call.

01

Request

Tell us the brand, the model and what happened. We call you back.

02

Diagnose

$119 at your home. The only fee you pay if you decline the repair.

03

Restore

Genuine OEM parts, fitted in your kitchen — and the part that failed, shown to you.

04

Guarantee

Twelve months on parts and labor. If the part we fitted fails within the year, the new part and the visit cost you nothing.

In your home.

You are letting someone into a house that matters to you. This is what that looks like.

What waiting costs.

Not a sales line. The plain arithmetic of a machine that has stopped doing its job.

We are open every day, so there is no weekend to wait out. The $119 visit exists to tell you which of these clocks you are on — today.

The Work, Finished

As if it never failed.

The panels back on, the seal pulling true, the compartment holding to the degree. You will not be able to tell we were there — which is the whole point.

Something stopped.
